Genuine or Fake?

Are your products causing more damage than you know? Unfortunately if you have purchased products online or in store from a big company retailer, the answer may be yes! This is a huge problem that the hairdressing industry is facing at the moment. Therefore we are here to shed some light on the situation!

We are a Redken and Pureology salon, which are both extremely high end brands. These brands have recently been seen for sale online and sometimes in the supermarket. To clarify These products are not genuine! This issue is being addressed by Redken and they are striving to campaign against the false products. They have put an anti diversion policy in place.

What is diversion? ” Diversion occurs when products are sold in “unauthorised” places. Genuine Redken and Pureology products are sold only in authorised salons, spas or authorised salon related websites.” We have taken statements straight off of the Website to provide you more info!

Why is diversion bad? “Diverted products can be counterfeit, diluted formulas, or old, expired formulas that may not be safe to use. Redken states on all its advertising, “Genuine Products Guaranteed Only in Salons.” This means if you buy products in a supermarket, chemist or any other outlet other than an authorised salon we cannot guarantee that it is an authentic Redken product”. For more info on this visit https://www.redken.com.au/anti-diversion-policy.

The best thing you can do to combat this is to support local, and buy products in salon. In conclusion- Don’t risk it, don’t buy it! And tell your friends about the potential danger of diverted products! If you see a Redken product for sale outside a salon, please send an e-mail to LorealCAD@loreal.com.
